Happy Thanksgiving

Since the launch of Daily Bread in Abundance, our organization has worked towards providing meals to the less fortunate during the holidays. After all, feeding the hungry is the foundation of our organization. In the previous years, we have made a surplus of food to deliver around Andrews, TX. Our board members, including Valerie Charles Deutsch, Kevin Deutsch, & Jessika Hayes, have served in the community providing hot meals as well. Jessika’s children have also taken part in the holiday traditions.

This year, we are doing things a little different. On November 24, 2022, DBIA will be opening the doors of the James Roberts Center to the public from 2pm until 6pm. We will be providing a traditional Thanksgiving meal to those in need. This is our first Annual Thanksgiving Dinner.

Join us!

This Thanksgiving feast has been made possible by our generous supporters listed at the bottom of the flyer above. We are incredibly grateful for their giving hearts and could not do this without them. We also have several volunteers from the Andrews area that are giving their time to help serve the community with us on this day. The amount of support from our ETX and WTX communities is overwhelming. We are overjoyed to spend this Thanksgiving with so many kind-hearted friends as we take part in helping our community together!

We would like to give a special thank you to the local businesses that have also sponsored DBIA. GTG Automation, Porter’s Grocery Store, and HTeaO have had a large hand in helping make this event possible for the people of Andrews. DBIA is eternally grateful for their support!

Future Thanksgiving Plans

We plan to make the community Thanksgiving Feast an annual event. In 2023, we also plan to expand to East Texas. Jeanna Holly and Jaymee Jordan are the head of operations for East Texas and are looking forward to bringing DBIA events to their area as well.

The members of DBIA are very excited for our first annual Thanksgiving Feast. We pray that this is just the beginning. We are always looking for volunteers. If you’d like to find out information on how to volunteer your time, please call Valerie Charles Deutsch at 903.987.3941. If you are unable to attend, but would still like to contribute, please check out our “How to Contribute” page.

We look forward to seeing so many smiling faces and full bellies this Thanksgiving.
